Leah LaBelle

LeahLeah LaBelle first started singing when she learned to talk. Her mother has video to prove it! Now, this 2004 American Idol Finalist, Leah LaBelle, joins Christmas in the Northwest 7 with an original song entitled Christmas Time.

Her sound is best described as a harmonious blend of R&B, gospel and soul. She is a perfect example of how urban music touches all ethnic groups.

At the age of 10, LaBelle won the talent contest in the Washington State Pre Teen Miss America Pageant and was 1st runner-up for talent in the Pre Teen Miss America National Pageant.

She has performed for the Governor of Washington State, the Mayor of Seattle, the Seattle Super Sonics and the Seattle Mariners. She was the grand prize winner of KUBE 93.3’s Summer Jam Idol Contest in June 2002 and had the opportunity to be the opening act at Summer Jam 20.

Now 17 years old, LaBelle makes her home in Seattle as she finishes up high school. Upon graduation, she hopes to attend a music college most likely in New York or Boston.
