CHRISTMAS IN THE NORTHWEST IS COMING TO TOWN
Volume 6 is now available for purchase
SEATTLE - "Christmas in the Northwest 6", presented by RBC Dain Rauscher, is now available. The compact disc highlights Christmas-themed music from a variety of Northwest artists in a variety of traditional styles with net proceeds benefiting Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle.
The concept for the CD originated with Steve and Debbie Lawson when their daughter Alex was admitted to Children's Hospital. Being so impressed with the treatment she received, the Lawsons decided to enlist the help of local musical artists to put together a CD featuring contemporary Christmas arrangements of original songs and Christmas favorites. Since the release of the first CD in 1985, the total net proceeds that have been donated have reached approximately $600,000.
The first album launched the hit song "Christmas in the Northwest" with lyrics and music by Brenda Kutz White and has since become a Northwest classic. Music from "Christmas in the Northwest 6" includes:
