CHRISTMAS IN THE NORTHWEST RETURNS
Local Artists Being Sought for this Northwest CD Compilation
April 29, 2002 - Seattle, WA - This holiday season will mark the return of CHRISTMAS IN THE NORTHWEST, a holiday music CD featuring local artists, and benefiting Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle. CHRISTMAS IN THE NORTHWEST - VOL 5, presented by Pacific Northwest Bank, will feature a new song by singer/songwriter Brenda Kutz White, along with many other Northwest favorites.
And this year, for the first time, the CD producers are accepting song submissions from local singers, singer/songwriters and bands of all types for possible inclusion in the project. All submissions must include a filled out and signed submission form which can be found on the internet at www.christmasinthenorthwest.com.
"Christmas in the Northwest has been a great project for Children's Hospital", said Doug Picha, Children's Hospital Foundation Executive Director. "To date the 4 previous CDs have raised over $500,000, and we really appreciate the talent and efforts the artists bring to this project". "It's nice to do this project for Children's Hospital", commented producer Steve Lawson. "My daughter was treated at Children's when she was two years old. They are a great Northwest institution, and my wife Debbie and I are pleased to be helping again with this fund raising effort."
