Scott Janzen returned to DDB in 2000 as Senior Vice President/Director of PR Account Management, after spending six years with the advertising agency in the 1980s. His 26 years of public relations experience includes management positions with some of the largest agencies in the Pacific Northwest, including Cole & Weber and Borders, Perrin & Norrander. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of The Fearey Group, one of the region's top independent public relations agencies.
Known for his expertise with branded products, food/beverages and travel, Scott's account experience includes work for over 150 regional and national clients, including Nintendo, Eddie Bauer, McDonald's, Holland America Line, Pep Boys, Sun Valley, Renaissance Hotels, Beck's Beer, Nalley's Fine Foods and the Washington State Lottery.
Scott received a B.A. in journalism from Seattle University in 1978. He has received numerous public relations awards in his career, including honors from the Public Relations Society of America and the Washington Press Association. Over the years he has contributed pro bono counsel to several local non-profit organizations, including the YMCA of Greater Seattle, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, the March of Dimes and Children's Music Fund. Scott and his wife Cris live in Seattle.
