If you’ve seen Seattle Men’s Chorus holiday concerts, then you’ve seen Captain Smartypants cleverly disguised as dancing elves, as boogie woogie yeshiva boys, as a troop of waltzing flowers and as reindeer in drag. Formed in 2000 by SMC Assistant Artistic Director Eric Lane Barnes, Captain Smartypants has but one goal: to make you laugh while creating exquisite harmony. They have had the honor of performing with Melissa Manchester, Megan Mullally, Lea Delaria and warming up for comedy goddess Margaret Cho. Their most recent CD, ‘Undercover,’ features cover songs from 1969 through 2004.
